Christmas decorations Workshop
A very simple and fun workshop where, guided by me, you will make porcelain Christmas decorations.
This will be a half-day class on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 3 to 7 p.m in my studio in Savignano sul Rubicone FC. The main purpose is to have you go with lots of personalized Christmas decorations made by yourself, which you can give as gifts, use to decorate your tree or holiday table.
It will also be an opportunity to learn some techniques such as slab work, underglaze decoration, graffito and the glazing of the raw porcelain piece.
I will fire your decorations and have them ready for you to collect from thursday 5th december.
I can also arrange the shipping of your fired pieces for an extra 20€ (express courier to Italy)

The cost of the 4 hours workshop is 110€ (ncluding tuition, materials and firing)

Process and materials
The delicate look and lightweight feel are achieved by using very
thin slabs of porcelain. Each piece is carefully slab built or slip
casted using porcelain, glazed in transparent inside, sanded smooth
outside and fired twice to 1260°.
Gold is applied and fixed with a third firing in electric kiln...
Care
White porcelain: oven, microwave and dishwasher safe although a gentle hand wash will make your porcelain last longer.
Porcelain with gold luster is unsuitable for microwave and hand wash is recommended...
